Fray Day 8 DC: Featured Storyteller: Julia Montgomery Julia Montgomery takes the Fray Day stage again this year, this time as a featured storyteller! Also known as Tequila Mockingbird, you may remember Julia from last year's hilarious recounting of "The Mojo is Strong in This One." In addition to achieving Internet stardom with her own blog, she posts at Metroblogging DC. She assures you all that this year's Fray Day DC venue, Love Cafe, really does have the Best. Cake. Ever.
Fray Day 8 DC: Featured Storyteller: Bill Coughlan Returning to the Fray Day DC mic this year is Bill Coughlan: William R. Coughlan is the Manager of Video Production for The Advisory Board Company in Washington, D.C., and one of the founding members of Tohubohu Productions; with the latter, he recently directed a short film for the National Film Challenge entitled "Screening Process." In addition, he dabbles in screenwriting, acting, three-dimensional animation, and writing autobiographical comments in the third person. He is also the illustrator of the therapeutic workbook Stories for Children with Problems & Wishes, has provided schematic graphics for several HBS case studies, and serves as the Critic at Large for the occasionally published online literary magazine Inkblots. He currently resides in Burke, Virginia, with his wife Pam and their two daughters, and can usually be found ranting on the Web at his film- and politically-oriented weblog, Prometheus Unleashed.

Fray Day hits Fredericksburg, VA! (New motto: "Come to see the burial site of Stonewall Jackson's right arm, stay for the Fray.") Fray Day 8 Copenhagen: Præsentation This post is in Danish ...
Fray Day 8 Dallas: Musical Guest Confirmed The Happy Bullets are confirmed as Fray Day 8 Dallas' musical guest! I dare say they are the perfect band for such an event, and I must say they looked and sounded great at our gallery opening a couple months ago.
Fray Day 8 LA: Fray Author Zack Edwards Featured Isaac Edwards lives in Pasadena. People call him Continue reading "Fray Author Zack Edwards Featured" »
Fray Day 8 LA: Digital Photographer Found Jerome Pennington will shoot this year's rockin' event.... See you there!
Fray Day 8 Central Florida: New date, new location. After being hit by yet another hurricane (Jeanne!), we've finally been able to settle on a new day for Fray Day Central Florida: Tuesday, November 16, from 7 to 10 p.m. Because our venue from last year, Stover Theatre, was flooded during Frances and is sadly full of water and mold and thus out of commission, we're moving the event across campus into the Stetson Room on the second floor of the Carlton Union Building. There's plenty of free parking nearby at the corner of E. Pennsylvania Avenue and Bert Fish Drive next to Rinker Field. (Here's a 2-D campus map; the CUB is #57, the parking lot #73. This 3-D map shows what the buildings look like.) Thanks for bearing with us during all of this tropical weather. At least these hurricanes and tropical storms -- six since August -- have left Floridians with some fascinating stories to tell. We hope you'll join us to tell your best true stories, whether they're about hurricanes or anything else.
Fray Day 8 DC: Fray Day 8: DC Style! A Venue and Date for Fray Day 8 DC have been chosen! The details: Wednesday, November 17th, 7:00 PM Love Cafe is a mere 2 blocks from the U Street Metro stop on the Green Line. Love Cafe is the cake-by-the-slice arm of Cakelove, widely regarded as the Best. Cake. Ever. So come out with us to share stories and cake! See you there!
Fray Day 8 Mesa: It's Coming! October 23rd 2p at the Anthology Cafe is rolling up quicker than you can imagine and we've got the vocal stylings of Bill Campana in store among many many others. Interested? Want to be involved? Write us! Bob (bob at anthology dot org) and Mohamed (fray at lofatmo dot com) are waiting to show you where and how. Come down, bring your story, bring your friends, bring it all to the Anthology Cafe on Fray Day |
