DC's Fray Day a Smashing Success
Posted by Tiffany on Wednesday 17 November 04 @ 8:35PM

Fray Day DC was a splendid event, drawing a lot of new faces and some familiar ones as well. We packed into Love Cafe, drowned out the knitting club in the back, and had a great time. Many thanks to all who came, all who shared stories, and to Warren Brown for letting us take up all that space in his cafe for the evening.

Didn't get enough Fray Day tonight? Be sure to head out to Fray Day Fredericksburg on Saturday for more.

Featured Storyteller: Julia Montgomery
Posted by Tiffany on Sunday 24 October 04 @ 8:00PM

Julia Montgomery takes the Fray Day stage again this year, this time as a featured storyteller!

Also known as Tequila Mockingbird, you may remember Julia from last year's hilarious recounting of "The Mojo is Strong in This One." In addition to achieving Internet stardom with her own blog, she posts at Metroblogging DC. She assures you all that this year's Fray Day DC venue, Love Cafe, really does have the Best. Cake. Ever.

Featured Storyteller: Bill Coughlan
Posted by Tiffany on Sunday 24 October 04 @ 7:15PM

Returning to the Fray Day DC mic this year is Bill Coughlan:

William R. Coughlan is the Manager of Video Production for The Advisory Board Company in Washington, D.C., and one of the founding members of Tohubohu Productions; with the latter, he recently directed a short film for the National Film Challenge entitled "Screening Process." In addition, he dabbles in screenwriting, acting, three-dimensional animation, and writing autobiographical comments in the third person. He is also the illustrator of the therapeutic workbook Stories for Children with Problems & Wishes, has provided schematic graphics for several HBS case studies, and serves as the Critic at Large for the occasionally published online literary magazine Inkblots. He currently resides in Burke, Virginia, with his wife Pam and their two daughters, and can usually be found ranting on the Web at his film- and politically-oriented weblog, Prometheus Unleashed.
