SPX 2003: M@B: Wide Collar Crimes Next up from SPX 2003 is another autobiographical comic, this one from Toronto cartoonist Matthew Blackett. M@B: Wide Collar Crimes is a collection of three-panel comic strips about "the life of a young urbanite lost in the supermarket of the insane". What really makes the strip shine are all the "anti-punchlines", where the strip avoids the obvious chuckle and goes for a truthful insight or wry observation instead. I bought one copy, read it in an evening and went back to buy two more to send to friends. It's that good. (And, again, the creator's a really great guy.) Highly recommended. | |||||
