If you're a Brit and you have a family story about World War II, the Beeb wants to preserve it. At WW2 People's War, they're collecting stories from the people who were there. You can read stories, write a personal or family story, or even visit the writing workshop where BBC editorial staff and other site users will help you craft your story. What an amazing project.
