Now that Gary Wolf's new book (Wired: A Romance) is out and getting press, perhaps this would be a good time to dust off my own tale of love and loss at HotWired: Stoked. It's been seven years since that story was published in {fray}, and it contributed to my eventual release from employment in the digital revolution.
