Radio Expedition: Timbuktu NPR's Alex Chadwick is trekking through Timbuktu with Anthropologist Wade Davis. They're in search of what Davis calls "the ethnosphere" - pockets of ethnic diversity that have developed over thousands of years. In today's report, we meet a woman who fights a daily battle with the Sahara, sweeping it away from her doorstep. The website also features photos, video, and music from Mali. |
