What is unique about the digital environment? How do users respond to it? How can it's potential be maximized? University of Minnesota's Institute for New Media Studies is investigating these questions and more. They've created a site called The Elements of Digital Storytelling that provides: a taxonomy of digital storytelling, analysis of current practices, a clearing house of effects research, a showcase of innovative story forms, and a forum for discussion.
