This thanksgiving got me thinking about what I'm thankful for this year.
I'm thankful that the universe has kicked my ass, forcing me to grow in ways I'd never imagined.
I'm thankful for the Eurail train system, the cliffs of the Aran Islands, and a man named Charlie who told me stories all the way to Galway.
I'm thankful for my family, who have given me their constant love, support, and blueberry jam.
I'm thankful for my friends - the old ones who have stuck around, and the new ones who keep blowing my mind.
I'm thankful for the strange, beautiful things I get in the mail.
I'm thankful for San Francisco. I feel lucky to live here every time I walk down the street or watch the fog collect around the base of Sutro Tower.
I'm thankful for this purring cat on my lap.
I'm thankful for the web for giving me an amazing outlet and the ability to connect with people all over the world. People like you.
And most of all, this thanksgiving, I'm thankful I'm not a turkey.
