Fray Day 7 San Francisco: People are talking People are talking about Fray Day 7 San Francisco! Performer and columnist Beth Lisick recounted one of the best lines of the evening in her column today: "Don't root for the turkey!" Audience member Jeff Cheney said: "I had a great time at Fray Day 7 Saturday night! The highlight of the evening was definitely Armistead Maupin who shared three great stories about how our past comes back to us." Performer Jish Mukerji said: "I have enjoyed myself at every single Fray event I've attended ... whether I've been on stage or simply an audience member. This weekend's event was no exception ... in fact, I would say that I enjoyed Fray Day 7 more than any other." Audience member Leila listed "the top five things I learned at fray day." And volunteer Jane Wells said: "Excellent stories. I now want to go out and read everything ever written by Armistead Maupin and Beth Lisick." Volunteer Bill Humphries said: "Yesterday was Fray Day 7 up in the City. We had a full house, due to the publicity in the Chronicle, and that Armistad Maupin was one of the featured storytellers. Unfortunately, as soon as Maupin finished his stories, half the audience left. So they missed Eric Rice's story about frozen waffles and the last moment of consciousness before death." [Ed note: It's true that people left, but we were also running way late, as usual.] And our performer Lance Arthur has posted the story he told at the event: Three Summers. |
